Components of mobile processors (SoC)..

Like computers mobiles also have processors . They are the reasons why our mobile is working , helping us to do our daily work . It also has some components . So I am going to mention all this in this article .

A processor is a component of mobile which is very important . It makes the mobile work .  It is actually a silicon plate on which all the items are placed and they work properly . The processors are also called SoC (System On a Chip) , where all the components of a processor are . The Various components of a processor are - 

CPU

CPU is the Central Processing Unit . It is the 'brain' as we all know. It helps the mobile to function . It should have a good speed which is measured on GHz (Gigahertz) . It also has a important component that is core (to be discussed ahead) . 

GPU

GPU stands for Graphical processing Unit . It takes hold of all the graphics that is being displayed on the phone . A good quality GPU supports more graphics , it does not lag while processing some graphics of high quality . A good quality GPU gives a better gaming experience and video streaming . It assists the CPU in showing any kind of performance visually .

Cores 

Cores play a vital role in the speed of the mobile . Cores are actually the partitions made on a CPU . The higher the number of core the faster the speed of mobile . The cores actually reduce the time of processing by dividing the components of process within them .  There are phones with quad core , octa core , deca core etc . 

These are actually the no. of cores that are there and help to reduce the processing time .

ISP(Image Signal Processor)

ISP or the Image Signal Processor is the component which takes care of all the camera related work . It helps in reducing the time between click and capturing photo , time of saving and the also helps to provide a better image and video experience . It makes improvements image capturing power . It has the program for high resolution pics , stabilized video , effects of image , good colour contrast etc. etc.

DSP

DSP stands for Digital Signal Processor . It handles the audio and video department in the processor . It helps the system to play music and record audio . It is designed to reduce the work of the CPU . This was the function which was earlier performed by the CPU .   

Radio(RF Transceiver)

This makes the radio signals of the phone work . It makes our phone available to make connection . The RF transceiver receives and transmits voice calls . This connection helps the DSP while making a video call ! The phones nowadays come with Vo LTE , which makes the phone to connect to cellular network at any time . It helps to make calls from a 4G sim directly .

These are the major parts present in a processor and they make a phone exceptional . But nowadays companies like Qualcomm , MediaTek , Tegra are bringing good processors . I will mention all these in my next post .
