There are various processors in the market . They also have some technology in them . But the process of making a chipset or a processor must be known . Before that I will show the technologies used in mobile processors .
nm Technology
You must have heard that 14nm processor , 10nm processor etc. These are actually the technology used in a processor . Every processor has crores of transistors . According to this technology the length of the transistor is measured in nanometer (nm) . The lesser the length of the transistor the faster the processor . By reduced length , there would be less distance to travel and there would not be any kind of inconvenience . The power consumption will be low , and the travelling of data or task would be performed more faster . Now 7nm processor which has least nanometers in the processor . Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 and Apple ' s A12 Bionic have 7nm technology in them .
What makes a processor .
The processor which are made for the phones , are also done with a planning . They need a specific architecture for the design of the processor . The company named ARM makes licensed architecture for the processors . It supplies to Qualcomm , MediaTek , Nvidia and Samsung Exynos processors . The companies also sometimes make some changes to the design . ARM has series of architectures named Cortex . The companies take the design and start making their processor . Then they work on technology in which the processor should be based on . After all this they install the components of it . After all the things they work more on the cores of the processor . The more the cores the work will be more fine and fast . It will make the work easy by dividing it and will not lag anyway and their will be no heating issue in the phone . Then they check the clock speed of the processor in Ghz (Gigahertz) . Then they record the speed and mention it with the processor . This whole process makes an great processor , which is ready to use in the mobile . All the things are actually interconnected with the system and thus give a good user experience to us . And for your knowledge , Samsung is launching its processor with 5nm technology is 2020 !
