All the batteries in the phones are of two types - User Removable Battery and Non User Removable Battery . It is wrong if we say non removable battery only . Because the batteries in the majority of the phones nowadays are non removable only by user . But if you take them to the service centers then they can remove the battery easily .
The phones nowadays come with great design . They are slim , premium and light weight . As the battery is embedded inside we need not take it out all the time . But the phones with user removable battery were used to be thick there back covering was made of plastic . Hence it would not give a good look to the phone . But whenever the phones with non user removable battery used to have some problems with the battery they need to go to the service center to exchange the battery for a original one .

Every battery of a phone works at least 2 years properly . But the battery life would reduce by time but it will not affect the battery . It is actually like a strategy of the companies . Whenever a user buys a phone , he or she uses it for 1 to 2 years . But after these many days new phone come to the market and the older phone's performance seems comparatively bad . So the user changes the phone in this way he or she need not change the battery .
There is also some advantages in user removable batteries . These can be removed by the user itself and can be replaced easily . But these batteries some times blast . By some reason this batteries get bigger and bigger . And the toxic substances under it (zinc) sometimes come out .
